Our engine reconditioning service is a comprehensive reconditioning and refitting of your existing smart car engine*. Based on a 599cc engine, our prices start at £885* which includes all parts, labour & vat and a 3mth or 10,000mile warranty against sudden failure of most major mechanical parts.  Our parts list for the reconditioning work includes:

  • Piston rings
  • Big-end bearings
  • all 3 inlet valves
  • all 3 exhaust valves
  • valve stem seals
  • cylinder head gasket
  • cylinder head bolts
  • crankshaft end seals
  • timing chain & tensioner
  • oil filter
  • NGK spark plugs

Our hobble-in, drive-home service includes the removal, reconditioning and refitting of your existing smart car engine at £1,660*. This also includes a full C-Service on the vehicle allowing your service schedule to start again from the beginning (A B A C), removing any confusion about what service it would be due next.  Because our all-in price already includes the labour element for the removal and refit of your engine then any other ancillary parts that require renewal can be done so at just the additional cost of the associated part, so for example, should your turbo need replacing this would cost an additional £412 or a new clutch assembly just £165.  This is also a good time to consider those tempting upgrades such as the Brabus Roadster clutch at only £325 or the silicone air intake and intercooler hoses at £150 the set.
